FAQs
Do you offer in-person or virtual (telehealth) sessions?
At this time, I offer virtual sessions only. Telehealth sessions are conducted via a confidential, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by submitting the confidential contact form or by emailing admin@wisdomandbloomtherapy.com
How often are counseling sessions?
Typically, sessions are held once a week, as consistency is key for building momentum and seeing results. As you progress and meet your goals, we may transition to bi-weekly or monthly maintenance sessions. Fees listed below are for cash pay clients only.
What is your session fee?
| Service | Duration | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Individual Session (Initial Intake) | 60 minutes | $200 |
| Individual Session (Ongoing) | 45-50 minutes | $150 |
What should I expect during my first session?
The first session, often called an intake session, is primarily about gathering information and getting to know each other. It usually lasts between 60-75 minutes. We will review confidentiality, discuss your history, current concerns, what brought you to therapy, and your goals. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if we are a good fit for you. I recommend scheduling your appointments at a time when you are able to be in a distraction-free and confidential environment.
Is what we discuss confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship and is protected by law and professional ethics. There are, however, a few legally mandated exceptions to confidentiality:
- If you sign a written release of information.
- If there is a reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult.
- If you pose an imminent and serious danger to yourself or others.
- If a court order legally requires the release of records.
How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy varies greatly depending on your goals, the nature of the challenges you are addressing, and your progress. Some individuals benefit from short-term, solution-focused counseling (6-12 sessions), while others find long-term therapy (many months or years) helpful for deeper personal exploration and chronic issues. This will be discussed and reviewed collaboratively.
How do I know if I need counseling?
People seek counseling for many reasons. You might consider it if you are experiencing persistent distress, difficulty managing emotions, significant life transitions, relationship problems, or if you feel stuck or overwhelmed. If your current challenges are interfering with your daily functioning, relationships, or overall well-being, counseling can be beneficial.
How do I know if the Therapy is working for me?
You’ll recognize the effectiveness of mindset coaching through observable changes: increased clarity in decision-making, a shift in perception of challenges, heightened confidence, and progress toward your goals. Additionally, consistent reflection and feedback sessions with your coach will help assess and track your growth journey.
What is clinical counseling or therapy?
Clinical counseling, often referred to as psychotherapy or therapy, is a collaborative process between a mental health professional and an individual, couple, or family. We focus on providing high-quality individual therapy with occasional sessions with partners, family members, or significant others, for the purpose of helping the individual communicate with others and reach their therapy goal.
The purpose is to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, identify goals, and work toward desired change. It provides a safe, confidential space to discuss challenges, gain self-awareness, and develop personalized coping strategies that work for you and your individual preferences and circumstances.
What Insurances do you accept?
Insurance Coverage Disclaimer
Coverage and benefits vary by insurance plan, provider network, and individual policy. Acceptance of an insurance carrier does not guarantee coverage for services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm eligibility, benefits, and any out-of-pocket costs prior to your appointment.
